I am Delphine Arlove, a French fibre artist based in Mauritius.
Welcome to Knots & Tangles' online boutique!




How it started

My love for crafts started with my mom who would always organize craft activities at home for me and my brothers when we were kids. 

After obtaining my degree in accounting, I left France to move to Australia as a personal challenge. There I met my husband.

When my son was born, I was trying to find crafts that would not require a lot of materials and that I could easily stop and go as my little boy would let me. That is how I started with embroidery.


What inspires me

My passion grew with the years, learning and expanding my skills into the fiber craft world; Embroidery, macrame, weaving, latch hooking, and more recently I am trying to learn crochet :)

What I love about fiber craft is the versatility of this art. I love that the materials used are mostly natural fibres, sustainable, always very soft to the touch, full of colours and inspiring to me.

As I grew up in the french countryside, my dad owning a tree nursery, it feels natural that my art is heavily inspired by our natural world, especially its beautiful flora. 

My son, Arthur, is also a great source of inspiration as I love to craft by his side, share my passion with him and always try to find all sorts of DIYs to do together.


What is my shop about

Mauritius is full of artists and hobbyists that, like me, are always trying to find new inspirations and good quality supplies for their craft.

My motivation is to participate in my way in making fiber craft more accessible in Mauritius.

At ‘Knots and Tangles’ you will find natural fibre craft supplies responsibly sourced from around the world; Cotton – Wool – Jute – Bamboo.

More than supplies, you’ll find diverse resources to help you develop your craft and occasional workshops.
